Terms of Service
Last updated: April 23, 2026
Agreement
These Terms govern your use of CareerUplift Recruiter (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, the organization you represent.
Accounts and teams
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Company owners can invite teammates on their verified email domains and can change member roles or remove members at any time.
You must provide accurate information when signing up and keep it up to date.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to discriminate against candidates on the basis of any characteristic protected by applicable law.
- Upload content you do not have the right to use, including resumes or job descriptions you have not been authorized to process.
- Attempt to circumvent authentication, rate limits, or other security controls.
- Use the Service to send unsolicited bulk email or content unrelated to legitimate hiring.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the Service.
Your data, your ownership
You retain all rights to the data you submit to the Service — including job descriptions, candidate resumes, interview transcripts, notes, and scorecards. You grant us a limited licence to host and process that data solely to operate and improve the Service for you, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
We do not use your candidate data to train general-purpose AI models.
AI outputs
Parts of the Service use AI models to draft job descriptions, score resumes, and conduct first-round interviews. AI output is probabilistic and may be inaccurate or biased. You are responsible for reviewing AI output before acting on it for any hiring decision. The Service is designed as a decision support tool — not a replacement for human judgement, and not a substitute for your obligations under employment or anti-discrimination law.
Candidates and communications
When you invite a candidate, the Service sends them email on your behalf from the careeruplift.ai domain and may store their resume, interview transcripts, and notes in your company’s workspace. You are responsible for ensuring you have a lawful basis to contact each candidate and to process their application data.
Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, apply security updates, or temporarily suspend parts of the Service to address abuse or incidents. We are not liable for downtime caused by third-party providers (Google Cloud, OpenAI, ZeptoMail).
Fees
Pricing for paid plans, if any, is presented before you subscribe and is subject to the invoicing terms you agree to at purchase. Taxes are your responsibility unless stated otherwise.
Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, fail to pay when due, or put the integrity of the Service at risk. On termination, we retain or delete data as described in the Privacy Policy.
Warranty disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the fees you paid to us for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim (or, for free tiers, one hundred U.S. dollars). We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.
Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email to the account owner at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
